Bert Klei

Albertus Johannes Klei , also AJ Klei and Bert Klei (born July 23, 1924 in Apeldoorn ; † July 23, 2008 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch journalist who worked in particular as a columnist for the Amsterdam daily Trouw and wrote three columns per week. On December 29, 1990, his last column appeared on the Trouw church website.

His columns, which dealt in particular with ecclesiastical topics, appeared in several anthologies ( Liever een bal des gehakts , Niemendalletjes , De meeste mensen zijn aardig , Wandelen in je blootje , De koningin is lekker beschormd! ).

Private life

Bert Klei was, in a way, proud of the fact that he stayed three times at the grammar school in Zeist and that he was given the Abitur as a gift in 1945 because of the Second World War . Bert Klei is the father of the oenologist and wine journalist Nicolaas Klei , who is known from radio and television and for his books on popular and inexpensive wines.
