The SFZ Vocational Training Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired Chemnitz gGmbH is one of the three vocational training centers for blind and visually impaired young people in Germany , alongside the Nikolauspflege in Stuttgart and the Vocational Training Center Soest (BBW Soest) . In addition to its main location in Chemnitz , it also maintains facilities at the Brandenburg School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Königs Wusterhausen , Berlin , Cottbus and Dresden .

The young people are prepared for an apprenticeship in vocational training measures (BvB). All training courses end with a final examination before the relevant examination bodies of the Chamber of Crafts in Chemnitz , the Chamber of Commerce and Industry or the Chemnitz Regional Council.

The training in the vocational training center (BBW) is organized as inter-company training according to the dual system . Theoretical lessons are completed at a separate vocational school.

It is trained in industrial-technical, commercial and medical professions. Accommodation is in boarding schools on the premises or in the city in the Kaßberg district.

The SFZ Berufsbildungswerk is a founding member of the Blind Football League .
