The Blind Soccer League (DBFL) started its blind soccer game in March 2008 .

The Blind Soccer League Cup

The league is under the patronage of Uwe Seeler , member of the Board of Trustees of the Sepp Herberger Foundation . The league is organized by the Sepp Herberger Foundation, the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS) and the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired .

Everyone is played against everyone and the games are played in tournament forms in different participating cities.

Playing times

2008 season

The first season of the Blind Soccer Bundesliga was played in March and April 2008 with three tournaments in Berlin, Stuttgart and Dortmund. The first German championship in this sport was secured by SSG Blista Marburg, which after two defeats in the first tournament won all five further games. Runner-up was MTV Stuttgart, who also had the top scorer of the first season with the ten times successful Alexander Fangmann.

2009 season

In the league's second season, nine teams fought for points in four tournaments. The teams PSV Köln, VfB Gelsenkirchen and Chemnitzer FC were new, the Blindsoccers Rhein-Ruhr and SFZ BBW Chemnitz no longer took part in the game.

MTV Stuttgart was able to secure the German championship, PSV Cologne came second, ISC Viktoria Dortmund-Kirchderne came in third, ahead of defending champion SSG Blista Marburg.

2010 season

In the 2010 season nine teams competed again. The teams Würzburg and Berlin dissolved their syndicate and each competed independently. SG Saar / Braunschweig was new. Cologne and Mainz have not competed anymore. As in the previous year, Stuttgart became champions.

2011 season

Also in the 2011 season nine teams were represented. Cologne, which last competed in 2009, was there again. This time Braunschweig competed without Saar 05, while Würzburg founded a syndicate with Mainz. ISC Dortmund was no longer there. The game was played in 2011 in Cologne (April 16-17), Mannheim (May 14), Chemnitz (June 4-5) and Hanover (July 2nd).

German champion was unbeaten for the third time with 50: 2 goals from MTV Stuttgart. SF Blau-Gelb Marburg, the champion from 2008, became runner-up. The bronze medal went to the LFC Berlin.

Eight teams took part in the 2012 season. The game was played in Stuttgart (April 14 and 15), Neumünster (May 12), Heidelberg (June 16), Dortmund (July 7 and 8), Herford (August 25) and Munich (September 22) .

Nine teams took part in the 2016 season. The game communities PSV Köln / SV Teutonia Köppern and TSV 1860 Munich / VSV Würzburg were new. PSV Köln and VSV Würzburg competed independently in previous seasons. Also new was FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, which, as the successor club to LFC Berlin, took over from the Eintracht Braunschweig / LFC Berlin syndicate.

2017 season

Eight teams took part in the 2017 season. Borussia Dortmund, which has taken over ISC Viktoria Dortmund-Kirchderne, was new. FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin joined forces with TSV 1860 Munich to form a syndicate and thus took the place of VSV Würzburg.

Placement games

The placement games took place on September 9, 2017 in Halle . The two table neighbors played against each other for the placement (first against second, third against fourth, etc.). FC St. Pauli won its game 3-2 after a six-meter shoot-out and thus became German champions.
