The Employers ' Liability Insurance Association for Energy, Textiles, and Electrical Media Products ( BG ETEM ) is a commercial employers' liability insurance association in Germany and thus the statutory accident insurance provider . BG ETEM is responsible for 3.8 million insured persons in over 200,000 companies in the electrical industry and electrical trade, precision mechanics, energy and water management, textile industries and shoes, as well as printing and paper processing. The employer's liability insurance association is based in Cologne . In many federal states there are district administrations of the BG ETEM.

history

The BG ETEM was created on January 1, 2010 through the merger of the Employers' Liability Insurance Association for Energy, Textile Electronics and the Employers Liability Insurance Association for Printing and Paper Processing (BGDP). Previously, on January 1, 2008, the former trade association for precision mechanics and electrical engineering (BGFE) merged with the textile and clothing trade association (TBBG) to form the trade association for electro-textile precision mechanics (BG ETF). On April 1, 2009 there was another merger with the professional association for gas, district heating and water management (BGFW) to form the professional association for energy, textile and electrical engineering (BG ETE)
