Félix Philippoteaux
Henri Félix Emmanuel Philippoteaux (born April 3, 1815 in Paris , † November 9, 1884 ibid) was a French painter .
At the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Philippoteaux became a student of Léon Cogniet and devoted himself to battle painting. He dealt with important battles with French participation and, thanks to his knowledge of history, always tried to represent historical events realistically. In 1833 he made his debut at the Paris Salon . His son Paul Philippoteaux was also a painter.
Félix Philippoteaux died on November 9, 1884 in Paris at the age of 69.
