The trade association for vehicle maintenance ( BGF ) was a commercial trade association in Germany and thus the carrier of the statutory accident insurance .

Jurisdiction

The BGF was responsible for the three modes of transport road-bound transport industry , air transport , inland waterway transport and the related companies.

Locations

The main administration of the BGF was based in Hamburg . District administrations existed in Dresden , Wiesbaden , Hamburg, Berlin , Wuppertal , Munich , Hanover and branch offices in Erfurt , Magdeburg , Duisburg and Rostock .

history

On July 1, 1886, the Fuhrwerk-Berufsgenossenschaft was founded with its headquarters in Berlin. In 1945 this was renamed the professional association for vehicle maintenance and in 1953 it moved to Hamburg. As a result of a merger, the inland shipping trade association was merged into the BGF on January 1, 2005. On January 1, 2010, the BGF merged with the See-Berufsgenossenschaft to form BG Verkehr, today the Berufsgenossenschaft Verkehrswirtschaft Post-Logistik Telekommunikation .
