Betrayal is an American television series that premiered on ABC on September 29, 2013 . Due to the weak development in ratings, no so-called back-nine-order was given and, as expected, the series was discontinued after a season of 13 episodes. The German broadcast rights are due to output deals with the ABC studios in the Media Group RTL Germany . However, it has not yet been broadcast in German.

The series centers around the affair between the married photographer Sara Hanley and the also married lawyer Jack McAllister, who comes from a powerful family. The premise also revolves around a murder trial on both sides of which the protagonists find each other , which makes matters between them, as well as their actual spouses and families, even worse.
