Hamburg-Tiefstack workshop

The company workshop Hamburg-Tiefstack located in Hamburg in Tiefstack . It is used by the Nordbahn railway company and was rebuilt in 2013/2014 for around 15 million euros. 15 modern electric multiple units (ET) Stadler Flirt  3 are located there. Since the last timetable change, the railcars have been running between Hamburg-Altona and Wrist as well as Hamburg Hbf and Itzehoe on the lines RB 61 and RB 71.

The workshop is located north of the Tiefstack S-Bahn station and is connected to Hamburg Central Station via the Berlin-Hamburg Railway . Points and signals are set by the signal box Tf.

The central building is the vehicle hall with three shed tracks, two of which are electrified . A railcar washing facility is attached. An office wing is attached to the vehicle hall. There are additional sidings in the apron , and a supply and disposal system for the toilets is also installed there.

In the workshop, traction current 15 kV, 16.7 Hz, single-phase alternating current 230 V, 50 Hz and three-phase alternating current 400 V, 50 Hz are used. The plant has autonomous heating . The water supply and wastewater disposal are provided by Hamburg Wasser .

The delivery of spare parts or auxiliary materials takes place via a road connection by truck .

The workshop was built by Hamburger Schnellbahn-Fahrzeug-Gesellschaft mbH (HSF) and is rented out by them to Nordbahn. HSF is a subsidiary of Hochbahn.
