Bettenhoven is a district of the municipality of Titz in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The place is on the eastern edge of the municipality next to the double place Rödingen - Höllen , municipality Titz, and Oberembt , city Elsdorf in the Rhein-Erft district .

history

From 1116 to 1272, Bettenhoven belonged to the von Alfter family. The great Bettenhoven estate was owned by the Dukes of Jülich from 1272 to 1638 . In the past, the tithe or “Beden” had to be delivered there. Presumably the name "Bedenhof" and later Bettenhoven came from this. Since 1638 there have been changing owners.

The parish church is dedicated to St. Pankratius consecrated. The parish office is in Rödingen.
