Bettina Fischer

Bettina Fischer (* 1972 in Homburg ) holds the professorship for marketing and corporate management at the Wiesbaden Business School (WBS) , the department for business administration at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden.

Together with Susanne Czech-Winkelmann, she heads the Research Center Nation Branding and the management consultancy The UnExpected Company at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences . Fischer is a member of the Presidium of the German Marketing Association (Department of Economy and Innovation), President of the Marketing Club Mainz-Wiesbaden eV, Chairwoman of the jury for awarding the Science Prize of the German Marketing Association and a member of the jury for awarding the Georg Bergeler Prize for Sales economy and beyond u. a. active in the editorial board of the sales economy - magazine for marketing. Fischer's research focuses on strategic management , innovation management , practice management for medical practices and nation branding .

Vita

After graduating from high school in 1992 ( BurgGymnasium Kaiserslautern ), Fischer completed a degree in business administration at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with a focus on marketing and journalism by 1997 . This was followed by professional entry through an international trainee program at SCHOTT AG in Mainz. In 1999, Fischer took over the management of the strategic and operational marketing activities of SCHOTT AG at the locations Mainz, Doncaster (UK), Southbridge (MA, USA) and Auburn (NY, USA) as Manager Marketing Fiber Optics Division . From 2003 to 2006 she was Manager Strategy and New Business of the company and led various international strategy projects in Europe, the USA and Asia. During this period she wrote her doctoral thesis while working at the chair for General Business Administration and Marketing of Frank Huber at the University of Mainz on the subject of "Vertical Innovation Networks". In 2006, Fischer took over a professorship for marketing and corporate management at the Wiesbaden Business School (WBS) of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences .
