Bettina Hirschberg (* 1959 in Bönnigheim , also: Dagny-Bettina Hirschberg ) is a German artist .

Life

Bettina Hirschberg studied German and philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1986 her first appearance in the "Unterhaus" in Mainz was full, followed in 1987 by the "springboard" on WDR television . In 1988 she was awarded the Cabaret Prize for Lied and Chanson from the State of Baden-Württemberg . a. for her setting of the poem for piano and voice by Ingeborg Bachmann: “The great freight”. In the following years she toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 1998 Bettina Hirschberg retired from touring.

Services

Bettina Hirschberg works as a poet, composer, singer and pianist. In addition to their own texts in their concerts, one of the items on the program are poetry settings by the so-called “Burned Poets” (book burning in Germany on May 10, 1933). Bettina Hirschberg set to music a. a. Works by Theodor Kramer, Mascha Kaléko, Hans Sahl, Louis Fürnberg, Max Herrmann-Neisse, Ferdinand Hardekopf. Poetry settings by Gottfried Benn are also part of her compositions, which oscillate between blues, singer / songwriter with American influences and German art songs in the spirit of Schubert. She played a supporting role in the film "Comedian Harmonists" by Joseph Vilsmaier (1997). Her performance as a poet is shown by her inclusion in relevant anthologies. An ARD portrait “Bettina” by Lutz Neumann in the “Allerhand Menschen” series documents her career and reputation among professional colleagues such as Konstantin Wecker and Karl Krolow .
