Dug's Special Mission (original title: Dug's Special Mission ) is an American animation - short film of Pixar Animation Studios and the Walt Disney Company from the year 2009 . Ronnie del Carmen made his directorial debut with this film.

action

It's Golden Retriever Dug's birthday. He was just enjoying the scent of a flower when Kevin the bird runs past him and a little later Doberman Alpha, Rottweiler Beta and Bulldog Gamma fall over him. The three want to catch Kevin and fear that the clumsy dug could get in their way. They assign him to guard a huge boulder that is said to be the bird's favorite rock. Carelessly, Dug sets the rock in motion, which falls down a slope and almost buries Alpha, Beta and Gamma under itself. The three now give Dug the task of staying in a hollow that is supposed to be Kevin's favorite hollow. However, the sand under Dug gives way and he falls into the depths. He ends up on Alpha, Beta and Gamma when they just want to sneak up on Kevin.

All other tasks that the three dug give lead to disasters. In the end, Alpha reports to Charles Muntz through his collar that they were unable to catch Kevin due to Dug's behavior. Dug is a bad dog. Dug flees and meets Carl Fredricksen and Russell a little later. He is pleased to see that his birthday wish, a new owner, has come true. After a first moment of surprise, Carl and Russell quickly become friends with Dug.
