Geri's Game is a four-minute animated short film produced by Pixar in 1997 .

action

It's autumn, the leaves are falling and an old man named Geri is setting up a chessboard in a park . He plays against himself by switching sides of the table and putting on his glasses for white trains and removing them for black trains. After Geri Weiß has completely lost his pieces, the latter pretends to have a seizure in order to turn the game around, he turns the chessboard by 180 ° and thus confronts Geri Schwarz with the hopeless situation.

particularities

Jonathan Harris , who became known through the series Disappearance Between Alien Worlds , served as the model for the Geri .

Apart from grumbling, laughing and mumbling, there is no speaking, so there is no synchronization.

Geri can be seen again later in Toy Story 2 : He appears as a doll restorer, although his character has remained unmistakably the same.

The film is included as an extra on the DVD and the video Das große Krabbeln as well as in Pixar's complete short film collection .
