Bob Peterson (born January 18, 1961 in Wooster , Ohio ) is an American voice actor and screenwriter .

Life

Peterson studied mechanical engineering at Ohio Northern University and Purdue University . He graduated in 1986. In 1994 he was hired by Pixar Animation Studios and worked on Toy Story , The Big Crawl and Toy Story 2 . He also appeared as a voice actor for various Pixar films such as Die Monster AG , The Incredibles and Cars .

For the 2004 film Finding Nemo , he wrote the script with David Reynolds , which earned both an Oscar nomination. He received another nomination in 2010 for the screenplay to top . This time the award went to Mark Boal for Deadly Command - The Hurt Locker .
