Bettina Schaar

Bettina Schaar (* 1963 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German sports scientist .

Life

She studied sport and sport science, performance physiology ("NF Medicine"), and educational sciences at Heidelberg University , graduating with a Magister Artium (1989). From 1992 to 1994 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Sport and Sport Science in Heidelberg . After receiving her doctorate in 1994, she was a research assistant (C1) at the University of Leipzig . Since 1995 she was at the Institute for physical therapy and exercise-oriented prevention and rehabilitation of DSHS school teacher and then Oberstudienrätin . After her habilitation in 2006, she became a professor for sports methodology at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in 2015 .
