Betty Gabriel (* in Washington, DC ) is an American actress .

Life

Betty Gabriel was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Pittsburgh and Hyattsville . She studied animal science at Iowa State University . She then moved to Chicago and turned to dance and acting. She performed with the Steppenwolf Theater Company , among others . Then she studied at the Juilliard School .

After minor roles, she became known to a larger audience in 2016 for her role as Laney Rucker in the Blumhouse production The Purge: Election Year . In 2017 she starred as Georgina in Jordan Peele's directorial debut Get Out .
