Betty J. Sapp

Betty J. Sapp (* 1955 in St. Louis ) is the acting director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), which operates the US spy satellites .

Life

Sapp started her government career as a United States Air Force officer in various management positions at the NGO. From 1997 to 2007 she worked for the CIA , where she was seconded to work with the NGO.

In July 2012 she was appointed director of the NGO.
