The Bhilangna is a left tributary of the Bhagirathi in the Indian state of Uttarakhand .

The Bhilangna is fed by the Khatling Glacier at an altitude of about 3950  m . From there it flows in a south-south-west direction through the mountain range of the Gangotri group .

After about 55 km, below the village of Ghansali , the Balganga , the most important tributary of the Bhilangna, flows into the river on the right. The lower reaches of the Bhilangna are dammed by the 261 m high Tehri dam over a length of 10 kilometers. The Bhilangna has a length of about 75 km, with the lowest section forming part of the reservoir during normal damming.

A trekking route leads into the mountains along the Bhilangna river .
