Bhukhanana , also Bhucanana or Ntambanana , is a city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal . It is located in the municipality of Mthonjaneni in the district of King Cetshwayo and was the seat of the municipality of Ntambanana until 2016 .
In 2011 the city had 6116 inhabitants. It is located in a hilly landscape rich in vegetation.
In 2016, Bhukhanana lost his parish seat when the Ntambanana parish was split into two neighboring parishes, Mthonjaneni and uMlalazi .
Agriculture is practiced around Bhukhanana. The area is structurally weak. Bhukhanana is not on any highway. The R34 runs south of Bhukhanana.
