The Bichom is a right tributary of the Kameng in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh .

The Bichom rises in the Assam Himalayas , about 12 km southeast of the Gorichen . From there it initially flows mainly in a southerly direction through the West Kameng district . He passes the town of Nafra and shortly after takes the Dirang from the right. Then the river gradually turns east. The Tenga flows into the Bichom on the right. This reaches the Kameng after about 100 km.

Hydropower plants

Eleven hydropower projects with a total capacity of 6000 MW are planned in the Bichom river system. The Bichom dam is under construction a few kilometers above the Tenga confluence. Another dam is planned on the Tenga. The river water from both rivers is to be diverted through a tunnel to the southeast to a hydroelectric power station (600 MW) on the right bank of the Kameng.
