The Bies 1 residential building is a half-timbered house in the Höhe residential area of the Vohwinkel district of Wuppertal .
Building description
The two-storey house is part of the historical building of the old settlement area Bies ('Hinterste Bies') and is one of the oldest buildings in Vohwinkel. The Lower Monument Authority estimates that this building was built around 1800.
The house is accessed from the north-western gable side . The house had a gable roof with a dwelling on the southwest side, three dormer windows are on the northeast side. The facades are partly plastered , partly boarded up, and the gable of the dwelling is slated .
Despite the poor state of preservation and despite the changes to the building, the building was entered as a monument on March 29, 1985 in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal.
