Picture quake Bielefeld

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bilderbeben Bielefeld is a German short film competition that has been held annually in Bielefeld since 1990 . The competition is organized by Filmhaus Bielefeld and funded by the Ministry for Family, Children, Youth, Culture and Sport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . The competition themes change annually and should be implemented in an attractive manner in terms of film as well as being socially relevant. A jury selects the winners in three categories.

The Filmhaus Bielefeld also awards a sponsorship award for the best contribution from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region . The winner of the sponsorship award can use the film house's technology and equipment for five days of shooting.

In 2017 over 1400 entries were submitted. 41 of these films ran in the competition.
