Wayside shrine (aying)
The wayside shrine in Aying , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Munich , was built in 1824. The wayside shrine on Mühlenweg is a protected architectural monument .
The shrine made of tuff is marked on the shaft with the year 1824. According to the inscription, on May 17, 1824, "Georg Schneider Berdlbauer (correct: Berndlbauer ) was killed here ... in this place out of revenge his enemy".
The torture picture, which shows the slain lying on the ground, was restored around 1974.
