War memorial (Aying)
The war memorial in Aying , an Upper Bavarian municipality in the Munich district , was erected in 1899. The war memorial near Münchener Strasse is a protected architectural monument .
The stele on a high pedestal with a wide base was unveiled on July 30, 1899 for the 115th anniversary of the foundation festival of the local veterans and warriors' association. In 1937 the monument was relocated and slightly raised to widen the road.
The original inscription reads: “Dedicated to his heroes from the war years 1866, 1870–71 by the veteran u. Aying Warrior Association.

After 1918, a memorial plaque with the names of those who died in the First World War was placed on the base .
