Astrid Schröder (* 1962 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German painter and graphic artist.

Life

Astrid Schröder grew up in Landshut . From 1980 to 1984 she attended the State Academy for the Graphic Arts in Munich and after her training worked as a graphic designer for advertising agencies in Regensburg, Landshut and Munich, before starting to study painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1991 . At the Munich Academy she received the Salzburg Scholarship from the Bavarian State Government in 1993 with a work stay at the International Summer Academy Salzburg , where she enrolled in Jim Dine's class . In 1995 she became a master student of Jürgen Reipka and graduated in 1999 with a diploma in Munich.

Schröder has been a member of the Neue Gruppe , Haus der Kunst Munich, since 2005 .

Astrid Schröder lives and works as a freelance artist with her husband, object artist, painter and graphic artist Peter Dorn in Regensburg .

  • 2014: "Energiefeld", germ paint and emulsion paint on plaster, 2.30 × 7.00 m, lecture hall building of the technical college in Deggendorf. Schröder received 1st prize in the “Art in Architecture” competition for the mural.
