The educational agency for student representatives and student participation e. V. (SV-Bildungswerk e.V.) is a non-profit association that advocates a democratic school. The association operates nationwide and is based in Berlin .

The SV-Bildungswerk works according to the peer principle , so all projects are implemented by young people themselves and are mostly also aimed at young people.

The SV-Bildungswerk tries to achieve the goal of a democratic school through

  • Qualification of pupils through seminars
  • Creation of interfaces between student engagement, politics and science
  • Qualification of teachers who want to increase the participation of students in their school

Projects

All-day school congress

From 2006 to 2015 the SV-Bildungswerk e. V. in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Children and Youth Foundation (DKJS) encourages pupils to participate in the nationwide all-day school congress. In addition, the association organized workshops on the subject of student participation. In 2017, the all-day school congress took place again through a cooperation between the German Children and Youth Foundation, the Mercator Foundation and the Robert Bosch Foundation .

SV consultant

The largest project of the SV-Bildungswerk is the SV-consultant project. Here, pupils are trained to be moderators who conduct seminars with young people in order to strengthen pupil participation and to support the SV in exercising their rights. Since 2007, the program has reached over 510 schools and more than 10,000 schoolchildren with more than 250 SV counselors.

Democracy Festival of the Federal President

The SV-Bildungswerk e. V. is a partner and supporter of the initiative “DemokratieErleben”, in the context of which the Federal President's Democracy Festival took place in Schloss Bellevue in 2012 , at which SV-Bildungswerk e. V. has taken on a supporting role of student participation.

Think big

From 2012 to 2014 the SV-Bildungswerk e. V. Project partner on site in the “Think Big” program of Telefónica Holding and DKJS and support young people in the implementation of small projects.

Cooperations

The SV-Bildungswerk e. V. has been able to build up a close network of partners since its inception. It works with the youth participation service center , the Youth Bank , the youth press and the German Society for Democracy Education (DeGeDe). The SV-Bildungswerk was a partner in the program “Ideas for more! Learn all day. ”Of the German Children and Youth Foundation and sits on the program advisory board there. The association is an associated member of OBESSU , a European umbrella organization for national school and school student representative organizations.
