history

The education center was created in 2001 through a merger of various schools at the Horgen and Stäfa locations. With the merger to form an education center, the Horgen Commercial-Industrial Vocational School and the Horgen and Stäfa Commercial Vocational Schools have strengthened the quality of Lake Zurich as an educational location and made it sustainable.

The vocational school in Horgen was established in 1970 by the municipality of Horgen. At the end of the 1980s, the building and the adjacent properties were acquired by the Canton of Zurich with the aim of expanding the school building.
