Bill Boyd (racing driver)
William Myscal "Bill" Boyd (born August 12, 1915 in Lovelaceville , Kentucky , † February 18, 1984 in Long Beach , California ) was an American racing driver .
Boyd started his career as a midget driver in 1934 and financed it by selling racing parts. In 1947 he was involved in a serious accident and raced until 1960.
In 1951 and 1953 he tried unsuccessfully to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 miles .
