Bill Scott (athlete)
Bill Scott (actually William Scott; born February 8, 1952 ) is a former Australian long-distance runner .
At the Cross Country World Championships in Rabat in 1975 , he came in 22nd place. In 1978 he won the Victoria Marathon Championships and the Melbourne Marathon .
In 1979 he finished 36th at the Cross Country World Championships in Limerick , won the Vancouver Marathon and was sixth at the Fukuoka Marathon .
At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he was ninth over 10,000 m .
In 1974 he was Australian champion over 10,000 m .
