Bill Talbert
Bill Talbert (born September 4, 1918 in Cincinnati , Ohio - † February 28, 1999 ) was an American tennis player .
Career
He won the American tennis championships four times in doubles (1942, 1945, 1946 and 1948) and was in the final five more times (1943, 1944, 1947, 1950 and 1953). He was also successful in doubles at the French championships in 1950.
In singles he reached the final of the American tennis championships in Forest Hills in 1944 and 1945 .
In 1967 he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
