Billy Allen (born October 15, 1981 in Oceanside , California ) is an American beach volleyball player .
Career
Billy Allen has played on the AVP Tour and other US tournaments since 2004 . Internationally he has been active on the NORCECA Tour since 2014 and on the FIVB World Tour since 2015 . In 2016, Allen played alongside Theodore Brunner , with whom he won the AVP Open tournament in Seattle . In 2017, Stafford Slick was his partner, with whom he was able to repeat the previous year's success in Seattle. In 2018, Allen started with Ryan Doherty . Since 2019 Allen has again formed a duo with Stafford Slick. The two US-Americans reached third place at the FIVB 3-star tournament in Sydney and qualified for the World Cup in Hamburg , where they finished ninth.
Private
Billy Allen is married to the AVP player Janelle Ruen. The two have a son.
