Cultural sequence

The tomb of Bingia 'e Monti ( Italian Tomba di Bingia' e Monti ) is a prenuraghic site southwest of Gonnostramatza in the province of Oristano in Sardinia . It was used between the Chalcolithic and the Early Bronze Age in this sequence by the bearers of the Monte Claro culture , the bell beaker culture and the Bonnanaro culture .

The grave is a hybrid between a Hypogäum and a megalithic from Dolmentyp . It consists of a chamber dug into the rock and an extension by means of four large stone blocks and small stones on the sides as well as a cantilever vaulted ceiling .

During the excavations carried out in 1991 by Enrico Atzeni (born 1927), in addition to numerous skeletal remains, several objects were found, including a gold necklace, the oldest artefact of this material found in Sardinia.
