Biophysical chemistry
The Biophysical Chemistry deals with the border area between biochemistry , physical chemistry , biophysics and physics . The topics that biophysical chemistry deals with are difficult to narrow down. She deals with the laws and mechanisms in vitro or in vivo , on the one hand simulates biological processes "in the test tube" and on the other hand examines them directly in the organism. The main focus is often on chemical kinetics , i.e. the speed at which biological processes take place, or their thermodynamics , i.e. an energetic consideration. However, it often extends to areas of classical chemistry , biology , physics or medicine . A demarcation is often difficult to make.
