Birger Leirud
Birger Leirud ( Karl Birger Leirud; born June 26, 1924 in Sørum ; † February 10, 1999 in Leirsund , Skedsmo ) was a Norwegian high jumper .
In 1946 he was fourth at the European Athletics Championships in Oslo . At the Olympic Games he came in 1948 in London on 13th place and in 1952 in Helsinki on 17th place.
He was Norwegian champion four times (1946, 1949, 1950, 1952). He set his personal best of 1.96 m on September 8, 1947 in Stockholm .
