Birgit Kleis

Birgit Kleis (born November 3, 1956 in Hellerup , Denmark ) was the imperial ombudswoman in the Faroe Islands from 2001 to 2005 . With this office she represented the Kingdom of Denmark in the largely autonomous Faroe Islands .

The lawyer began in 1985 when officials in the Danish Folketing on, has held senior positions in Copenhagen Ministry of Justice and was already 1986 - 1988 worked for the Reichsombudsschaft in the Faroe Islands.

Successor in the office of the imperial ombudsman in the Faroe Islands was the Danish lawyer Søren Christensen since August 1, 2005 .
