Birgit Lohberg-Schulz
Birgit Lohberg-Schulz (born December 3, 1965 in Moers ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.76 m tall and 63 kg heavy athlete started for the Hamburg swimming community .
She was able to place herself at German championships several times:
- 1987: Champion over 200 m freestyle and over 400 m medley, runner-up over 200 m medley
- 1988: Champion over 200 and 400 m medley
- 1989: 3rd place over 50 and 100 m freestyle, runner-up over 200 m medley
At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she started the 200 m freestyle, 200 m medley and 400 m medley and was able to qualify for the B final on all three courses. Your results:
- 200 m freestyle: 7th place in 2: 02.32 minutes (overall ranking 17th among 44 participants)
- 200 m medley: 2nd place in 2: 17.85 minutes (overall ranking 10th among 36 participants)

Birgit Lohberg-Schulz celebrated her greatest international successes as a relay swimmer:
- European Championships 1987 in Strasbourg : bronze with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay (team: Svenja Schlicht , Heike Holler , Julia Lebek and Birgit Lohberg-Schulz) in 8: 09.89 min. Behind the GDR (gold in 7: 55.47 min .) and Romania (silver in 8: 09.15 min.).
- 1989 European Championships in Bonn : bronze with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay (team: Katja Zillox , Susanne Boßerhoff , Marion Aizpors and Birgit Lohberg-Schulz) in 3: 46.15 minutes behind the GDR (gold in 3: 42.46 minutes) .) and the Netherlands (silver in 3: 43.66 min.).
