Birgitta Kristina Bengtsson (born May 16, 1965 in Mölnlycke ) is a former Swedish sailor .

successes

Birgitta Bengtsson was in the 470 dinghy with Marit Soderstrom in Haifa 1988 world champion . With Söderström she then went to the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul (venue: Pusan ), where they won the silver medal in the women's team. With 40 points, they finished second behind the US and ahead of the Soviet boat.

Her sister Boel Bengtsson took part in the 1996 Olympic sailing regattas in Savannah, Georgia .
