The Birinci Divizionu 2019/20 was the 28th season of the second highest soccer division in Azerbaijan . It began on August 22, 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Azerbaijan , the season was interrupted on March 13, 2020 and finally canceled on June 19, 2020.

13 teams were supposed to compete against each other twice. After the 18th matchday, the season was canceled. The clubs all stayed in the league. There was no promotion or relegation.
