The Episcopal Hospital is a historic building in Constance .

The buildings at Torgasse 6 and 8 have a common inner courtyard , which connects the Lanzenhof and the Episcopal Hospital to form a sizable ensemble . Built in the 14th century former mansion was home from 1604-1607 and in 1609 a Jesuit kolleg which by 1602 from City captain Maximilian Schenk von Stauffenberg was set up and took up teaching on 18 October 1604th In 1609 the college with 450 pupils, 11 priests and educational assistants moved to the new buildings around what is now the Konstanz City Theater on the lake shore. From 1609 the building housed a purely spiritual foundation for the relatives and service staff of the cathedral monastery. The house was given its present form between 1716 and 1723. Since 1826, the building has been owned by the state as the seat of various authorities. Today it is next to the prosecutor Constance from the District Court of Constance and the probation service used.
