Bishikaani (also: Isola dei Pescicani , Mtanga io Papa , Mtanga Island , Mtanga Ya Papa ) is a small island in Somalia . It belongs politically to Jubaland and geographically to the Bajuni Islands , a chain of coral islands ( barrier islands ), which extends from Kismaayo over 100 kilometers to the Raas Kaambooni near the Kenyan border.

The island lies between the Kuwaajuule peninsula and the island Seerbeenti artificially connected to the mainland , along with a few tiny islands and several reefs and rocks, including Smiid , Salooto Feerde and Fafaatu , as well as Blaankeed Noo , Meedso and Fered . South of Bishikaani is the single island of Koordaada on a second reef edge .
