Bismarck Tower (Hanau)
The Bismarck Tower in Hanau was built in memory of the first Chancellor of the German Empire , Otto von Bismarck .
Geographical location
The Bismarck Tower stands on a narrow traffic island between the two lanes of the K 872 district road in the Hanau-Kesselstadt district , immediately west of the Wilhelmsbad state park .

The 18 meter high tower was built in 1905 by the Hanau construction business Jean Louis Wörner based on the “Götterdämmerung” type design by the architect Wilhelm Kreis , which was a few years older . The upper part of the main shaft bears an imperial eagle with a snake and the lettering BISMARCK on its east side .
The tower is now a monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act .
