Diocese of Bourg-en-Bresse
The diocese of Bourg-en-Bresse ( lat . : Dioecesis Burgus Bressiae ) was a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in France with its seat in the city of Bourg-en-Bresse .
history
The diocese of Bourg-en-Bresse was established in 1515 by Pope Leo X from cession of territory by the diocese of Belley . In 1534 the diocese of Bourg-en-Bresse was by Pope Clement VII. Dissolved and its territory was the bishopric of Belley back broken .
The diocese of Bourg-en-Bresse was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Lyon as a suffragan .
