The Diocese of Fenyang ( Latin : Dioecesis Feniamensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Fenyang in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Vicariate Fenyang with the Breve In omnes on May 12, 1926 from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Taiyuanfu . The first Vicar Apostolic, Aloysius Chen Guo-di OFM , was one of the first six Chinese bishops to be elected by Pope Pius XI. were ordained bishops in Rome on October 28, 1926 .

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946. The diocese is currently administered by a Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association bishop , John Cheng Huo.
