The Fushun diocese ( Latin : Dioecesis Fuscioenensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Fushun in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius XI founded the Fushun Apostolic Prefecture with the Breve Admonet Nos on February 4, 1932 from cessions of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Shenyang. On February 13, 1940, she was raised to the rank of Vicariate Apostolic .

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946. In 1981, with the restoration of the legitimacy of cults in China, the State Council of the People's Republic of China united the dioceses of Fushun, Jinzhou and Yingkou with the archdiocese of Shenyang to form the archdiocese of Liaoning.
