Diocese of Grasse
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Grasse ( lat. : Dioecesis grass Sensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Grasse .
history
The diocese of Grasse was established as the diocese of Antibes in the 4th or 5th century . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Aix as a suffragan . The first bishop was Armantaire . In the middle of the 11th century, the Diocese of Antibes was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Embrun as a suffragan. In 1146 the bishopric was moved from Antibes to Grasse.
On November 29, 1801, the diocese of Grasse was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Archdiocese of Aix .
In 1752 the diocese of Grasse comprised 21 parishes .
