Diocese of Nebbio
The diocese Nebbio ( lat. : Dioecesis Nebiensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Saint-Florent .
history
The diocese of Nebbio was established in the 5th century in the Nebbio countryside on the island of Corsica . On May 19, 1133, the diocese of Nebbio was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Genoa as a suffragan diocese by Pope Innocent II with the papal bull Iustus Dominus .
In the 15th century the bishopric was transferred to Saint-Florent.
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Nebbio was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Diocese of Ajaccio .
In April 2002 the diocese of Nebbio was re-established as the titular diocese of Nebbio .
