The diocese of Siping ( lat . : Dioecesis Sepimchiaevensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Siping in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Prefecture Szepingkai with the Breve Ex hac sublimi on August 2, 1929 from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariates Shenyang and Deer . On June 1, 1932, she was raised to the Apostolic Vicariate with the Breve Litteris Apostolicis Nostris .

On May 18, 1937, it lost parts of the territory in favor of the establishment of the Lintong Apostolic Prefecture . With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946. The only bishop of the diocese so far was Joseph Adhemar Louis Lapierre . Andrew Han Jing-tao was ordained a secret bishop in the early 1980s .
