Diocese of Vence
The Diocese of Vence ( lat. : Dioecesis Venciensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Vence .
history
The diocese of Vence was established in the 4th century. The first bishop was Andinus .
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Vence was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Diocese of Nice .
The diocese of Vence was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Embrun as a suffragan . In 1681 the diocese of Vence comprised 200 parishes . By 1754 the number of parishes had dropped to 19.
