The diocese Yanji [Yenki] ( lat. : Dioecesis Ienchivensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Yanji .

history

The Diocese of Yanji was founded on July 19, 1928 by Pope Pius XI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Ex hac Divi from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Wonsan as Apostolic Prefecture Yanji (Yenki) . The Apostolic Prefecture of Yanji (Yenki) was founded on April 13, 1937 by Pius XI. raised to the apostolic vicariate .

The Apostolic Vicariate Yanji was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Shenyang as a suffragan .
