The diocese Yuanling ( lat. : Dioecesis Iuen-limensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Yuanling .

history

The Yuanling diocese was founded on March 13, 1925 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quae rei sacrae from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Changde as Apostolic Prefecture Shenchow . The Shenchow Apostolic Prefecture was on May 28, 1934 by Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Ad potiorem vicariatus raised to the Apostolic Vicariate . On December 10, 1934, the Shenchow Apostolic Vicariate was renamed Yuanling Apostolic Vicariate .

The Apostolic Vicariate Yuanling was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Changsha as a suffragan .
